Sub-processors

These companies process personal information for UplevelRE so we can run the service. Each one receives only what its job needs. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use information, and Data retention and deletion explains how long we keep it.

AI providers

AI features send the information a request needs to our AI router, Requesty, which passes it to the model provider for that feature. If a provider is unavailable, Requesty can retry with a backup provider from our routing settings. We do not use your information to train AI models.

Requesty: Routes every AI request to the model provider set for that feature and returns the answer.; Receives: Everything the AI features below send.
Fireworks AI: Hosts the model behind Jan and most AI features: contact summaries, call summaries, reading lead emails, automation steps that read or write messages, drafting, listing and marketing text, and search.; Receives: The text the feature needs. Depending on the feature this can include contact details, notes, activity, emails with the contact (including synced Gmail), texts, call transcripts, lead emails and listing details.
TypeSafe AI: Makes short decisions: what a reply means for an automation, which kind of help a Jan request needs, and how spreadsheet columns map on import.; Receives: Up to 8,000 characters of a reply and its conversation, the first message of a Jan request, or column headings (never rows).
OpenAI: Turns voice dictation into text.; Receives: The recorded clip, up to 5 minutes.
Anthropic: Reads a brand guide you upload to set up your brand.; Receives: The brand guide file.

Requesty is based in the United Kingdom. Information from Gmail reaches these providers only when you or your workspace use a feature that needs it, such as asking Jan about a conversation or an automation that reads replies.

Hosting and service providers

Akamai (Linode): Hosts the servers and database that run UplevelRE, in the United States.; Receives: All workspace data.
Cloudflare: Delivers and protects our websites and the sites you publish, stores files and database backups, manages custom domains, and checks sign-up forms for bots.; Receives: All web traffic, including IP addresses. Uploaded files, recordings and backups of the database.
Twilio SendGrid: Sends email from UplevelRE: sign-in codes, notifications and invoices, and marketing email sent through UplevelRE’s email accounts.; Receives: Recipient names and addresses, and the content of each email.
Telnyx: Phone numbers, calls, text messages, voicemail, call transcription when a workspace turns it on, and carrier registration for business texting.; Receives: Phone numbers, message content, call audio, voicemail recordings, transcripts, and the business details carriers require for registration. Telnyx deletes its copy of a voicemail recording once we have stored ours.
Stripe: Billing, payments and sales tax.; Receives: Billing name, email and address, and card details, which go straight from your browser to Stripe.
Google: Sign in with Google, address search and maps, and the file picker for Google Drive.; Receives: Your name, email address and profile image when you sign in with Google. Addresses you search for and the locations of listings on maps.

We are setting these up. They receive nothing until they go live, and we will update this page when they do.

Slack (Salesforce): Notifies our staff of support requests and MLS verification submissions when the staff Slack integration is enabled.; Receives: Submitter names, support subjects and message previews, workspace and MLS names, and links to staff records. Verification documents are not sent.
Grafana Labs (Grafana Cloud): Keeping and alerting on service and security logs.; Receives: Log records, which can include user ids, IP addresses and security events.
Backblaze: A second, separate copy of database backups.; Receives: Database backups, encrypted before they leave our servers.

Services you connect

Some services work under your own account, at your direction, and are not our sub-processors: your Google account, an email provider you connect for marketing, a CRM you import from, MLS data feeds, apps you connect through the API or an AI client, webhook destinations, and analytics you add to your own website. Their own terms apply.
