Switching to Uplevel

Switching CRMs feels risky. We made it boring.

Contacts, your phone number, your website, your MLS feed — everything that makes the business yours comes along, most of it before lunch. Here’s the actual sequence, including the parts that take a few days.

Your database lands intact.

Coming from Follow Up Boss, connect your account and a direct import pulls contacts and tags straight over their API — no file involved. From anywhere else, the CSV your CRM exports is all the moving truck you need: Uplevel reads it, proposes a field mapping, and shows you a preview before a single record is written.

  • Direct Follow Up Boss import — contacts and tags, no spreadsheet required
  • Any other CRM or spreadsheet: guided CSV mapping with a preview before anything writes
  • Tags, stages, lead sources, and custom fields come along — created for you when there’s no match

Keep the number your clients know.

Your cell or business number is years of saved-contact trust — it should never be the price of changing software. Porting into Uplevel is free with the Calls add-on. Carriers take a few business days to release a number, so you get a working Uplevel number instantly and yours goes live without dropping a call.

  • Porting is free — we handle the carrier back-and-forth
  • A temporary number works from minute one while the port clears
  • Calls and texts start logging to contact records on day one

Your web presence, re-homed — not rebuilt.

Point the domain you already own at Uplevel, or buy one without leaving the app — DNS and SSL are handled either way. Your new site starts from listing-connected templates instead of a blank page, and every visitor action feeds the CRM you just moved into.

  • Bring your domain — DNS records and SSL certificates are handled
  • Listing-connected templates, live MLS data once your market is verified
  • Visitor views, saved homes, and tour requests land on the contact record

The first week, honestly.

No “seamless migration” hand-waving. This is the actual sequence — including the number port, the one step that takes longer than an afternoon, and what covers you while it clears.

  1. Day 1 AM

    Import your database

Export a CSV from your old CRM, map the fields once, and check the preview before anything writes. A few thousand contacts take minutes — tags, stages, and custom fields included.

  2. Day 1 PM

    Wire the follow-up

Rebuild your drips as visual automations and point your smart lists at the imported stages. Submit the number-port request; your temporary Uplevel number starts working immediately.

  3. Day 2–5

    The port clears

Carriers take a few business days to release a number; yours switches over without dropping a call. Meanwhile your domain connects, SSL is issued, and your MLS membership gets verified.

  4. Week 1

    Cancel the old stack

Everything now lives in one login. Turn off the old CRM, the website vendor, and the email tool — and stop paying for the seams between them.

White Glove branding

$999one time

Skip the blank-slate phase. Our team sets up your brand across the platform and hands you a finished starting point — add it at signup or any time later.

  • Your brand in every email

Logo, colors, and type set up across your email templates, so campaigns look like you from the first send.

  • Website templates, styled to match

Your site themes tuned to the same brand system — fonts, palette, and layout details handled.

  • Your first property site, built for you

We build and launch your first property site with you, on your domain, ready to share.

Judge us by the exit, too.

The lock-in you’re escaping shouldn’t be waiting here. Everything you import — and everything you build afterward — exports back out as plain files whenever you want: contacts, deals, notes, documents. No retention call, no waiting period. We’d rather keep you with the product than with the door.

  • Full export any time, from your own settings page
  • Your domains stay registered to you
  • Cancel without talking to anyone
More on data ownership

The questions every switcher asks.

Straight answers — the same ones we’d give you on a call.

Can I run Uplevel alongside my current CRM first?

Yes — and that’s the sane way to switch. The 14-day trial is a full workspace: import a copy of your database, wire your automations, and only cut over once you trust what you see. Nothing about the trial touches your existing CRM.

Do I lose my history?

Your contacts arrive with everything the import carries — tags, stages, lead sources, and custom fields. Old CRMs generally keep their activity logs to themselves, but your real client conversations live in your email and your phone: connect Gmail and email starts threading onto contact records, and once your number ports, every call and text logs from day one.

How long does the whole move take?

The database import and your automations are an afternoon. The number port is the long pole — carriers take a few business days to release a number — and you work on a temporary number until it clears. Website, domain, and MLS verification typically land inside the first week.

What about my team?

Everyone lands on the same imported database. Each teammate is $49 a month, the same price as you, and roles decide who can see and touch what. Calls is one price for the whole team.

What if it doesn’t work out?

Then you leave with everything. Export your contacts, deals, notes, and documents from your own settings page any time, keep your domains, and cancel without a retention call. Ports work in both directions too — your number stays yours.

Still comparing? The head-to-heads use both sides’ published rates.
